Recent Branch Activities

“Living Mindfully with Self and Clients” Workshop
December 1-2, 2011, the Branch presented the well-attended workshop with social workers at Ontario Shores, and was co-facilitated by Bill Gayer, Rob Pepler and Eke Van der Zee. The workshop consisted of teaching and lots of hands-on experiences with different approaches to mindfulness meditation.

Annual General Meeting
The AGM was held during the lunch break of the workshop listed above on December 1st.

Social Work Week

The Branch is planning a speaker who works with people who have lost their job, those new to this country and the job market. The date selected (not confirmed yet) is March 5, 2012.  After the speaker, we will serve refreshments and provide time to connect and network with the opportunity to provide information about OASW.
