Northwestern Branch includes Thunder Bay, Kenora, Sioux Lookout and Northwestern Ontario.

Recent Branch Initiatives

Annual General Meeting
A successful Branch AGM was held on Wednesday, November 2, 2011. A presentation followed the business meeting “OASW: Where Have We Been? Where Are We Going? What Are Our Issues?” by Cathy Farrell, Teresa Legowski and Julie Woit.

Social Work Week
Northwestern Branch decided to mail greetings to each of our members, inviting them to watch their e-mails during Social Work Week for the “joke of the day”... A number of local agencies hosted events to celebrate Social Work Week in their own agencies as well. The branch again organized a full-page sponsored ad in our local paper to recognize Social Work Week.
