Ontario Hospital Association Convention Social Work Session: "Exploring Interprofessional Collaboration: Seeing Ourselves Through the Eyes of Others".

The OHA Convention Social Work Session in Toronto on November 6, 2007 will feature Keynote Speaker Dr. Tabitha Rogers, Post-Graduate Year 2 in Psychiatry, of The Ottawa Hospital. The emphasis on interprofessional collaboration between the many disciplines engaged in health care delivery creates a need for a clear understanding of what each profession brings to the health care team. Knowing how other professions perceive us can play an important role in enhancing patient care and building stronger teams. As a social worker/physician, Dr. Tabitha Rogers will discuss some of the expectations and preconceptions which physicians may bring to their relationship with social workers and other health professionals. Health Achieve 2007 is the largest gathering of the health care community in the country. Take advantage of early registration discounts and save $100 by visiting www.ohahealthachieve.com.
