Coalitions
Over the past number of years, OASW has taken a proactive approach around issues involving under-funding of social and health services, fairness and equity of access, and the lack of recognition and public funding for preventative, restorative and rehabilitative services.
The Association maximizes its efforts through collaboration with coalitions and like-minded professions around social advocacy issues such as Campaign 2000, and the Coalition on the Physical Punishment of Children and Youth.
As well, OASW is a member of the Alliance of Professional Associations for Community-Based Therapy Services (APACTS), the Coalition of Regulated Health Professional Associations and Allied Organizations and the Bridging Employment Program for Internationally Educated Social Work Professionals.
