Surveys

Have you completed the OASW Survey on Social Work Practice in Mental Health?

The OASW Mental Health Advisory Task Group has developed a survey to examine the role of social workers in the mental health sector. Information from this survey will assist OASW in identifying, prioritizing and responding to mental health issues relevant to the practice and training of social workers. Approximate time to complete the survey: 15-20 minutes. Survey participants are eligible to enter a prize draw. Social workers in the mental health sector can reach the survey by clicking on http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=88461292160 or cutting and pasting the link into your web browser. Please forward the survey link to other social workers in the mental health sector. We are hoping to maximize responses from both members and non-members.

OASW Survey on Quality of Work Life

More than 1100 responses were received from members and non-members for OASW’s online Quality of Work Life survey conducted in the fall of 2005. We thank all those who took the time to answer this comprehensive questionnaire. OASW’s Salary Services and Working Conditions Advisory Task Group will soon begin the analysis of the data. More information will be published in future bulletins and on the OASW website as it becomes available. Responses to date have shown that social workers are very interested in talking about workplace issues and a large proportion have offered additional comments, which will be useful for the Task Group as it considers next steps. A number of position papers are planned based on the results and conclusions to be inferred from them related to the current organizational context and culture of the workplace.
