Dear Social Work Student:

The Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW) extends best wishes as you embark on the upcoming academic year.  We congratulate you on your choice of social work as a profession.

A career in social work provides a broad and exciting range of opportunities in which to apply the knowledge and skills you will be acquiring in your social work program.

OASW is the voice for social workers in Ontario.  It’s your voice!

OASW’s voice focuses on provincial issues; however, it is part of a federation that is the Canadian Association of Social Workers (CASW), which in turn has representation on the 78-nation International Federation of Social Workers (IFSW).  Thus OASW’s voice provides input on many levels where social workers have interests.

OASW ensures a voice for social workers on issues related to social justice as well as professional advocacy/promotion of the profession.

Ensure that social work has a strong, unified presence. Support social work in Ontario.  Join OASW.

Visit www.oasw.org for more information about your professional association and to see the many benefits of membership.
