What is OASW?

The Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW), a bilingual membership association, has been representing the interests and concerns of social workers for well over 40 years. It is one of ten provincial/territorial associations belonging to the Canadian Association of Social Workers (CASW), which is, in turn, a member of the 78-nation International Federation of Social Workers (IFSW).

OASW has 15 branches across the province in which social workers and students within the profession can participate on boards, committees and activities.

Provincially, OASW is governed by a Board of Directors which has a permanent seat for a Student Director, elected by OASW student members.
