OASW actively participates in a number of alliances & partnerships that seek to strengthen Ontario's social work community and build support for critical initiatives.

Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers

The Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers protects the public through its regulation of professions of social work and social service work. The college establishes ethics and standards of practice and maintains a public registry, which allows the public to verify the registration status of social workers and social service workers. OASW is proudly affiliated with our national association, the Canadian Association of Social Workers (CASW). In 2026, CASW is celebrating 100 years of professional leadership and advocacy.
