On Friday May 29th, 2015, OASW held a successful Annual General Meeting featuring a presentation on the "The Future of Social Work in Ontario" and a networking opportunity for members.
Guest Speaker: Dr. Keith Adamson
Presentation: "The Future of Social Work in Ontario"
Summary: What are the emerging trends and challenges facing social workers over the next 2 to 5 years? How do we as individual social workers and as a profession need to be positioned to move forward in a time of unprecedented change in the structure and funding of social and health services? Dr. Keith Adamson, OASW President, brings more than 20 years of experience in clinical, management and professional practice leadership roles. He is presently the Senior Director for Collaborative Practice at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital in Toronto.

In her remarks, the Honourable Dr. Helena Jaczek, Minister of Community and Social Services, emphasized the crucial role of social workers in Ontario:
