Jennifer Taun BSW, MSW, RSW is a social worker with a broad range of experience working in mental health, trauma, addictions, sexual violence, acquired brain injury, adult conflict and health and wellness. Jennifer graduated from Renison University College School of Social Work with a Bachelor of Social Work and from McMaster University School of Social Work with a Master of Social Work.

Currently, Jennifer is employed as a seasonal faculty member at Canadore College in the Social Service Diploma program. Jennifer also continues clinical work through a small private counselling practice. She enjoys the balance of providing education to those interested in the field and staying grounded within practice.

Originally, Jennifer joined OASW as a student and became the Student Representative on the OASW Mid-Western Branch in 2010.  Jennifer continued to sit on the Mid-Western Branch as a Member-at- Large and later as Co-Chair until 2015 when she moved to the Nipissing District. This is where Jennifer's passion to advocate for the profession began. Since then, Jennifer has been keenly aware of the need to provide Social Workers a voice. Further, Jennifer is strongly aware of the unique and difficult issues that northern Social Workers face and is looking forward to supporting and connecting those members.
