Moving Ahead Together:
Introducing OASW’s 2022-2027 Strategic Plan

The pandemic underscored how essential social workers are to the public’s well-being, and there has never been a more critical time to think about the future of our profession.

Moving Ahead Together, OASW’s new five-year Strategic Plan, builds on the successes of our organization and our members over the past 18 months, by responding to the challenges and changes we’ve faced and setting a bold path for the future of the profession – a path that is guided by the values of equity integration, innovation, and evidence-informed action.

Our mission, as the voice of the social work profession, remains strong and unchanged.

Our new vision, mobilizing mental health and wellbeing across Ontario, makes clear the unrivaled commitment, leadership, and expertise of our members and the Association to increase mental health access for all.

Our new strategic directions lay the foundation for this actionable, measurable, and sustainable plan to advance our vision and the social work profession over the next five years.

OASW’s Board believes that the plan signals to all stakeholders invested in OASW’s success that this organization is ready and able to meet its future head on.

Together with our members, we are prepared to action these new priorities and champion change and progress over the next five years.
