A brand new, free legal resource led by Community Legal Education Ontario (CLEO-EJCO), can help non-profit groups and individuals:

A quick glimpse @ what you have access to:
Nonprofits incorporated in Ontario are currently governed by Ontario’s Corporations Act (OCA). This section covers many of the basics of that Act. Bill 154, or the Cutting Unnecessary Red Tape Act, 2017 recently made a number of changes to the OCA. This section does not yet include those changes.

The Ontario’s Not-for-Profit Corporations Act, 2010 (ONCA) will eventually replace the OCA, but it is not expected to come into force for at least another 2 years.
About OASW
OASW is the voice of social work in Ontario. It is a voluntary, provincial, non-profit association representing approximately 5,200 social workers. All practicing members have a university degree in social work at the bachelor's, master's or doctoral level. OASW works actively to speak on behalf of social workers and advocate for the improvement of social policies and programs directly affecting social work practice and client groups served.
