Mental Health & Practice Implications

MODULE 4: October 22 — November 4, 2018
Enhance your working knowledge of some of the more commonly presented mental health conditions and behavioural symptoms including mood and anxiety disorders, cognitive disorders due to a medical condition, substance misuse and psychotic disorders. Learn how to identify these issues through a variety of assessment tools will be covered in addition to prevention. Participants will look at the relationship between social determinants of health and mental health and illness. This module finishes with a response to mental health and illness issues through the lens of the recovery and strengths-based approach.
