A regular feature of Social Work Week every year has been the identification, interviewing and profiling of Inspirational Leaders on the Association's website. The individuals selected represent a positive role model to social workers and social work students and exemplify OASW's theme for Social Work Week March 6-12, 2017.

OASW is pleased to report that the Minister of Community and Social Services Helena Jaczek made an important announcement at our recent Annual General Meeting:
A new $1 million Professional Development Fund has been established to provide training initiatives to registered social workers and social service workers in Ontario over the next two academic years."
