Social workers who support victims of auto accidents: you’re invited to participate in a survey that investigates medical professionals’ perspectives on their clinical and administrative experience supporting Motor Vehicle Accident victims (MVAs). Please also find details, below, on information regarding a patient-facing survey on the same topic.
This survey relates to the professionals’ own and their patients’ experience navigating medical, legal, administrative, and insurance systems and any effects this may have on the provision of medical care and patient recovery.
The 15-minute, confidential survey is conducted by researchers from Sheridan College, in partnership with OASW, The Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists, The Ontario Physiotherapy Association, and the Fair Association of Victims for Accident Insurance Reform.
As a participant in this survey, you will be asked to provide your opinion on the state of Ontario health insurance, medical, and legal systems and how the navigation of these systems impact your ability to provide care. The study will also ask you about whether and how aspects of these systems affect outcomes of motor vehicle accident patients.
Participation in this survey is voluntary. You may decline to answer any questions that you do not wish to answer by leaving them blank. You may also decide to leave the survey at any time, without consequence.
