Summer Learning Vault FAQ


What is the Summer Learning Vault?

The Summer Learning Vault is an exclusive OASW member benefit offering free, on-demand access to 10 OLC webinars. It's a great way to enrich your professional skills over the summer months with high-quality, on-demand learning content.


When is it available?

The Summer Learning Vault begins on July 6. During each of the following six weeks, members can register to watch a different on-demand webinar. Registration for each on-demand webinar is only open for one week.

Here's when you can access different webinars included in the series:

July 6: Week 1
Starting July 6, you can request access to five webinars that will be available until September 7.

  • From Automation to Advocacy: Navigating AI with Social Work Values (Available in French)

How do I request access to a webinar?

Each webinar has a "Request Access" link on the Summer Learning Vault page. Clicking will take you to GoToWebinar, where you can complete your registration. Once approved, you can access the webinar on demand at any time until the webinar's viewing period ends.

Ensure you have your OASW membership number accessible before you begin registration.

What happens if I miss the request deadline?

Access requests must be submitted before the listed deadline date for each week of the Summer Learning Vault. After the deadline has passed, registration closes and the webinars will no longer be available.

Do I need to request access to each webinar individually?

Yes, each webinar must be requested individually. Visit the Summer Learning Vault page and click the "Request Access" link for each webinar you'd like to view.

Ensure you have your OASW membership number accessible before you begin registration.

Can I access the webinars on demand?

Yes. Once your access request is approved, you can watch the webinar at any time and as many times as you like until the viewing period expires. Viewing periods are different for each webinar in the Summer Learning Vault series.

Who can access the Summer Learning Vault?

The Summer Learning Vault is exclusively available to OASW members. If you're unsure of your membership status, contact us at [email protected].

Will I receive a certificate?

Certificates of completion are auto-generated from the on-demand platform after the end of the on-demand webinar's availability. To receive a certificate of completion, you must watch the entire on-demand recording.

Will I receive Continuing Education (CE) credits?

OASW does not oversee continuing education in the field, nor do we require members to report on continuing education. The Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers operates a mandatory Continuing Competency Program — visit the College's website for more information.
