OASW Annual Student Membership Award (ASMA)

Purpose: The aim is to encourage student engagement and involvement with the profession and with OASW. 

Description: Every year, OASW presents the OASW Annual Student Membership Award (ASMA), which offers one free one-year OASW membership to a student in each of Ontario's schools of social work. The aim is to encourage student engagement and involvement with the profession and with OASW. Application forms are circulated in early fall. 

Selection Criteria: 
Students must apply by completing an online form and answer two questions:
What would it mean to you to become engaged in your professional association?
What do you see yourself as bringing to the profession of social work?  

Selection Process: 
Information is circulated to schools, branches and via e-bulletins in September-October.

Students apply online. 

The Student Award Initiative Committee reviews and ranks the applications. 

Nomination Deadline: End of October, annually.
