Ontario Social Work Students in Need of Placements 

Given the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, many field placements remain limited or at reduced capacity across the province. Schools of social work in Ontario are seeking placement opportunities that can be accomplished in partial and/or fully remote learning environments.

Over the last year, Ontario social workers have shown leadership and outstanding flexibility in the transition to the virtual world by providing services to their clients via telephone and/or video/online platforms. Social workers who are currently working in fully remote environments are uniquely positioned to support social work students who are eagerly seeking field placements in order to complete their educational programs on time.

How can YOU Help? Consider providing a field placement to an Ontario social work student this fall...

• If you have partnered with a school or faculty of social work to provide student placements in the past, please contact that school directly .

• If you wish to make a student placement opportunity available to a student anywhere in Ontario, contact any of the 15 schools of social work to learn more about their particular process for becoming a field placement instructor.
