OASW’s CEO Dr. Deepy Sur was named among the distinguished recipients as the 2024 WXN Canadian Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Award winner in the Inclusion Vanguard category, in recognition of her work and leadership to champion equity and inclusion for OASW, its members and the social work profession. • Leading the development of OASW’s 2022-2027 Strategic Plan, naming “Leading Equity Integration” as one of four core strategic directions for the Association.
  • Championing intentional workplace culture practices reflecting an anti-oppressive, intersectional and anti-racist lens.
  • Leading the significant expansion of OASW’s training programs to deliver a variety of high-quality equity-based learning offerings to more than 12,000 learners to date.
  • Introducing the thoughtful and intentional collection of identity-based data from OASW’s membership, making OASW amongst the first professional associations in Ontario to champion and implement this work.
